truth

Vice Magazine: Me too. I think it’s all about paradoxes. People don’t get it; they think you’re being contradictory, but two things can exist simultaneously that are opposed. There’s no mystery in that.

Karl Lagerfeld: Truth is only a question of point of view.

vector

vector: Biology.
a. an insect or other organism that transmits a pathogenic fungus, virus, bacterium, etc.
b. any agent that acts as a carrier or transporter, as a virus or plasmid that conveys a genetically engineered DNA segment into a host cell.
do you ever wonder about the significance of your life? that perhaps you weren't put on this world to make a difference, to be someone. maybe your sole purpose was to make a change in someone else's life. to guide or influence another to achieve their goals, but not your own. perhaps you were never meant to 'make it'. you're an indirect service to the world, a mere vector, only making a difference through other people. you live an empty life. your purpose is of no significance or advantage to yourself, but only for others.

james plumb

“We relish chance encounters with the overlooked and discarded, and the opportunity to celebrate and reveal the stories which might have gone untold. We simply love unearthing objects with a personal history, that show the marks and traces of time – often marrying two objects together to create entirely new characters yet always grounded in their origins.” - james plumb

today's purchases

vintage locket brooch from the hello sailor vintage fair - $15
from pauline's vintage delights stall. i never fail to find something nifty from her collection of vintage treasures.

two pairs of leather semi-winklepickers from the hello sailor vintage fair - $25 and $10
loving the first pair. the second pair is a tad small, but for $10 - can't really complain.
here's to hoping my feet shrink during the winter season.

school girl's tunic from savers - $3.99
similar to the navy tunic i amended a while back. this one actually fits, so will keep it as is.
